Роль Бориса Пильняка в писательской биографии Андрея Платонова
Abstract
In the biography of Andrei Platonov, the history of his relationship with Boris Pil’niak occupies a special place, since it deals with the main events of Platonov’s literary fate. By the end of the twentieth century, many events of the literary life in the 1920–1930s were hidden from the researchers. Previously classified documents and archival materials have become available to researchers only in recent times, including the letters by Platonov and Pil’niak. They clarify the main events of Platonov’s biography and his relationship to Pil’niak. We thus know the ’prehistory’ of the relationship between the two writers: Platonov was a follower of Pil’niak’s literary current long before meeting him. The present article shows how the new materials allow us to have a new understanding of the relationship between the two writers.
